Brian, President/David, VP – reviewed previous post on Facebook regarding the purchase of the land north of our neighborhood by Habitat for Humanity. The HOA will continue to working with our attorney and making informed decisions.

Comments:

Resident – concerned about increased traffic.

Resident – concerned about how they are approaching the development.

Resident – asked if Taber had anything to offer to support the infrastructure.

Brian, President – AT&T lines are still being researched. We reached out to a neighbor who works for AT&T to see if anything can be done.

Brian, President – The new playground equipment has been installed. We did not have a say where they put it. The developer purchased and installed the new features.

Rebekka, landscape – We are looking into trashcans for our playground area. Initial research shows that they are fairly expensive ($300-$900) and with the attorney expenses, we may to delay the purchase.

Heather, Cabana – There are broken pieces on the old playground equipment, we are looking into the cost to repair/replace parts, and a quote is pending.

Comments:

Resident – Asked about the liability of the playground and reported seeing a kid standing on the basketball goal.

Resident – Concerned about a child who was riding his motorcycle in the middle of the playground and on the basketball court.

*Advised to call police if you see anyone riding on the grass with an ATV/motorcycle, etc.

Resident – Asked if we could establish some park rules.

Board Discussion – In the future, we may be able to add security cameras to the park area.

Board Discussion – Does the park need a sign similar to the one in the pool with rules?

Misty, Social – HOA Events for the year:

Easter Egg Hunt – April 5

Pool Opening – May 16

July Parade – 4th

Movie Nights – June 12, July 10, and August TBA

Pool Closing – September 12th

Halloween – October 24th

**Due to limited attendance last year, there will not be a Christmas party this year.

Resident – Social events are usually geared towards children and wanted to know if we have considered having a more adult function like a pool party or BBQ.

Brian, President – spring neighborhood garage sale

Traditionally we do ours during the same time that Surrey Hills has theirs. We will find out and post the dates.

***Be aware, you still have to get your permit.

Brandon, pool – Considering starting a committee to schedule neighborhood cleanup days of the ponds and the playground. More to come.

Comments:

Resident – Asked if maybe we could have an organization, such as a scout troop, help with cleanup and in return, they could use the cabana at no charge for meetings.

Resident – Maybe post multiple cleanup days throughout the year on FB and encourage people to sign up to help.

Rebekka, landscape – Getting a quote for needed sprinkler system repairs along Memorial Road.

Heather, Cabana – Check your pool keys if you can. The gate is chained but you can still open it a little. We have a new key system and the company entered in the key fob numbers manually. Just be safe to check to make sure yours works. Remember to pay your dues, you will not have access to the pool unless they are paid and current. All payment info is on our FB page.

Kyle, Treasurer – Bank balance $117,258.12. Homeowner’s dues for 2020 are still coming in. We have $35,632.55 in outstanding dues.

Brian, President – We have received the February payment for the fence that was ran into a year or so ago.

David, VP – looking at reviewing our covenants and updating them to make sure the language is current and putting together an architecture committee.
