Current Business:
President
- Erica Vardaro is interested in the landscaping position. She spearheaded the neighborhood cleanup the weekend of April 10th. The Board held a vote to appoint Erica to the landscape position. All approved. None objected. Rebekka will get with her to pass on points of contact for the position.
- Garage sale is this weekend, April 24th. Sign is up at Morgan and Memorial Roads. Trying to find another place to put up another sign up along County Line or Morgan Road. Possibly putting up a sign at Surrey Hills. Will be looking into getting smaller signs for future garage sales.
Vice President
- Nothing to report
Treasurer
- $178,000 in bank. $60,000 of that is in the savings account & $118,000 is in the main account. Owed dues amount for 2021 has dropped from $26,000 to $20,000.
Secretary
- Nothing to report.
Pool
- A vote for Opening Day for the pool is needed. The Board voted on May 15th being the opening day. All approved, none objected..
- We have a letter from pool guy that he has licensing coming and why it has been delayed. Three different companies were called for bids on the pool gate.
- Fence and Repair Specialists, Scott Smith, looked at the gate last week and quoted for the following work: Replace small entry gate and use existing hinges, and keep latch $380.00. Doesn’t do welding work. Replace iron double gates and new latch, magnetic latch for $810.00. Total $1,190.00 to replace all gates and get up and running. He recommended replacing an 8’ section between the gates for an additional $125.00. The other two companies that were contacted, Edmond Iron and D&G Fence never came out or never returned our call. Rebekka recommended getting new quote with all the work on one quote. Brandon will do this. Board will hold a vote once the new quote has been received.
Cabana
- Morrison Pest Solutions (Formerly known as Blue Line Defenders) was out on March 24th for first application and found termites located outside of the building right outside front door to the left. The first spray should take care of termites as they had not moved into the cabana. We will be checking periodically to make sure there is no progress to the inside of the cabana.
- We are looking at possibly getting new fixtures or at least bulbs and Plexiglass diffusers are needed for lighting in the cabana. Pricing on the light bulbs and covers was requested by Rebekka. Thane will get fixture replacement cost as well and pricing on control switches to replace, and timer switch for outdoor light.
- Rentals are occurring smoothly.
Landscape
- The Board voted in Williams Landscaping for landscaping maintenance last month. Replacing mulch, pulling weeds, flowers, soon. Will send invoices Net 30 to be paid monthly. They will be out this week weather permitting.
- Erica was pleasantly surprised about how many came out for trash pick-up event and plans on doing more events maybe quarterly.
- Rebekka mentioned adding a trash can to the playground area. The estimate of $459.00 for a new trash can plus $50.00 for ground attachment was presented by her. The Board voted upon her proposal and all were in favor; none opposed.
Social
- Social committee will plan a pool opening party for the May 15th pool opening. Will probably have food trucks out for residents to purchase food and possibly have either Kona Ice out or an Ice cream truck for the HOA to provide for the residents. All agreed to do the food trucks. Times to be announced by Misty when she talks to other social committee members.
Violations
- Nothing to report
Resident Questions:
- No resident questions.
- Thane asked about car parking in the streets and trash cans at the curb. This information is currently already in the welcoming letter to new residents but we will look into making the information maybe more noticeable in the letters.
