Board Meeting – Minutes
February 21, 2012

Present: Chris Sanders, Jeff Redding, Patsy Watson, Joe Harris, Jason Rohrer, Dale Day

Meeting called to order at 8:08pm

Joe Harris – Treasurer
Reported the 2012 HOA dues from the neighborhood had 77 households take advantage of the early payment discount of $300. There were 102 households that would pay the regular rate of $350.
Reported income on budget report needed an update
The budget for 2012 should reflect a small surplus at end of year.
Jason Rohrer – Social
Neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt will be held on Saturday, April 7 at 10:30am at the Pool Clubhouse and new Playground area.
Turf Appeal, vendor that handles neighborhood landscaping, would hold a Flower/Planting seminar the second weekend in April on Saturday, April 14
Yearly neighborhood Garage Sale would be scheduled for the final weekend in April on Saturday,
April 28, operating at the same time of the Surrey Hills neighborhood sale to attempt to capture more visitors.
Jeff Redding – Pool/Clubhouse
Original bid of $12,500 to resurface pool held strong throughout the bidding process. Project expected in late March.
Plan to open pool by Thursday, May 26, right after school year ends and just in time for Memorial Day Weekend.
Researching option of installing Solar Heating Panel system for pool
Welcoming – Patsy Watson
No new neighbors but many expected with houses beginning to sell as spring arrives.
Landscaping
Discussion concerning shrub planting around pool fence to help add some privacy, wind break.
Type of plants to be researched.
Playground
A minimum of 8-10 volunteers will be needed to work on Playground Installation, set for Saturday, March 31 with start time set for 8am. With normal progress, work should be completed by late afternoon. Contact Chris Sanders or Casey Nester to volunteer.
Violations
Reminder to neighbors not to allow parked vehicles in the street overnight. It has become a growing issue in recent months.
Reminder to make sure everyone slows down while driving in neighborhood. We have many children playing outside. Please drive below the posted 25mph.

Distribution of Pool Clubhouse keys to board members. More members will have access going forward.
