Current Business:
President: Rebekka opened the meeting at 6:34 p.m. Roll call was completed with all Board members in attendance. Rebekka states that we received the fence quote for the section on Memorial Road down from school. The cost would be $5,400.00 removing panels/repair, setting new posts, install panels, etc. She also got a quote for cedar fencing for that area which would total $14,000 plus for the new type of fencing. She doesn’t recommend using Superior Fencing as she has tried getting these estimates for the past 6 months. If they perform badly getting an estimate its likely they’ll do the same for installation/repairs. The Board is looking at replacing the entire stone panel fence around the entire neighborhood. There are 14 residents that back up to the fence; so we will need to contact them to explain the cost and type of fence issue to make them aware and get their feedback.
Rebekka reiterated the pool rules in the meeting and went over them with the residents on the Zoom call. She also reminded them to pay their dues as if they don’t, their pool key won’t work.
Vice President: Nothing to report. No updates on the pony situation from Ashley.
Treasurer: Brianreported a homeowner balance as of May 11, of $18,714.42. Income total for April was just over $12,300.00. Outgoing expenses for April totaled just under $5,800.00 primarily due to mowing and pool season preparation. In checking as of April 30th our balance is just over $132,000.00 and in savings $100,059.00.
Secretary: Nothing to report
Pool: The pool is now open and the 911 sign is hung up over the phone for emergencies. There is a small leak in the pipe going to the small pool pump. John says he can cut the pipe and redo it for a repair. He will get it taken care of shortly as time allows. He had to take apart the big pool pump as it was getting clogged from debris and he cleaned that up. The pool was a bit dirty for the opening day due to storms but it cleared up. The gate issue should now be fixed. Brandon asked if we have HVAC scheduled service in the cabana as well as scheduled filter replacement. Rebekka stated that she was not sure if we have a service for that or not but its something that needs to be investigated.
The artwork for signs, Rebekka called the sign company regarding the artwork for signs and requested that they send what Thane had ordered and this confused them. Rebekka will place another order and get credit card authorization to pay for them.
Cabana: Linda reportsthat lots of keys have been made and that she is delivering them. Rebekka and Linda worked for 2 ½ hours on pool keys for new residents and cabana rental. Linda is working on taking over more and more on the cabana.
Landscape: Johnreported that mowing got delayed when we had rain, so he is playing catch up with mowing. He thinks he should be caught up by the end of week. The sprinkler guy is to address the dry areas around the pool. John found that the spout was turned off so areas are now getting watered that weren’t before. John is getting a quote for spraying around the cabana and playground area for bugs and ticks. This is apparently a bad season for ticks this year. He should have the quote very soon.
Social: Misty reports that the pool opening was on Saturday the 14th. 100 hot dogs were served in the first hour!! She reports that we need to get some rugs outside the bathrooms and cabana for drying feet as there is a slip and fall hazard in these areas. She will get some pricing and send it to the GroupMe Board chat area for approval. The floor was mopped several times during event as it gets slick in the cabana during pool use hours. The mats are fairly inexpensive and are the outdoor type that won’t get ruined by water.
Plans are to meet with the Social Committee to set upcoming Movie Night dates. They are usually scheduled for June, July, and August. July 4th planning will be started soon, and the plan is to have the usual parade with fire trucks, etc. We need to buy popcorn for movie night and clean the container and utensils. She has a couple of guys that might be interested in giving us a quote on maintaining the flower beds around the HOA entrances and cabana. Rebekka said we should look at fence repairs and meet up with them regarding quotes.
Violations: None to report other than the horse on Hunter Jackson. Ashley is to call the owner and find out the status.
Resident Questions: None.
In Attendance: Sherri Maxwell, Sandy Woods, Rick Thompson, unknown iPhone, Tre Underwood.
End of Meeting: 6:56 pm.
